hap, Experts have many different views on when and how that might happen. Trump's support of Putin's aggression, with his less than solid support
for NATO, and corresponding views of many Republicans may have emboldened China. I'm no expert and not gonna wonder as you do.
I'm more concerned and interested now in, if Republicans get control of the senate sooner than later how that will affect American support for Ukraine.
