It's not that cold here. But yes, I'd love to escape in November and December to head out south.
LOL I turned down some jobs building scaffold for Canadian well diggers for the same reasons when the Union was begging us to go to help them suck the tar from the ground.
There's a running joke that we use when it freezes.. "It's colder than a well diggers ass in the Klondike", and it's real.
Some folks can get used to it though. The friggin indigenous people in the Artic don't complain and don't give a shit about the price of their electricity.
