Good for you, now you have something new. Inflation happened because the last administration did not deal with a pandemic, the economy was destroyed, and the republicans decided to print an extra 8 Trillion dollars. They just made up 8 Trillion dollars out of thin air.
Nothing was produced to get that money, it was just given away, and put into the economy. That is what they did, now America is working real hard to try and restore the imbalances of a supply chain that was shut down.
Even worse that 8 Trillion dollars was multiplied many times over, causing inflation imbalances that need to get worked out.
Look at lumber prices, at one time they were sky rocketing, now they pummeling, imbalances are not easy to deal with. America never shut down the entire economy.
Just how many decades old are you. Have you lived through the sixties, and each decade after, have you seen what happens in America with Capitalism. Once again, the economy expands, the economy contracts, the stock market goes up, it goes down. The only truism in America, the country moves forward.
