<<Scalp model actually went up today, but it's still oscillating below the zero line.>>

So you are saying that your model went up, in a contrary manner to the markets?? I guess it happens now and then. Nasdaq internals were pretty neutral and todays drop wasn't too far out of line for the COMPQ. But NDX got hit kind of heavily.

My model still patrolling in the neutral zone with a modest oversold state. As I was telling you earlier, my scalp model is currently active only about 30% of the time, otherwise it is in cash. I had been testing a "trending" model that takes all the cash days from the scalp model and goes long or short based on the prevailing trend. I was able to triple the backtest results (from 1996), although once I start to tweak I should be able to improve upon that.

At any rate, I just started to use the trending model in real life, and I am currently carrying a 35% long position. I use 35% because that represents my level of comfort with this feature. When the model gets to a certain point of overbought, then I cut the 35% exposure in half. Then there is another higher overbought level where I sell the long and initiate a short ladder.
