If you had even a rudimentary understanding of science you would understand that it progresses thought trial and error.

More hypotheses are abandoned than become theories. That's not lying, it's learning and adopting better explanations of phenomena based upon new information.

That fact is largely why you have a phone that is smarter than you in your pocket.
