EIA expects that the United States will import more crude oil to fill the widening gap between refinery inputs of crude oil and domestic crude oil production in 2021 and 2022. U.S. crude oil production declined by an estimated 0.9 million b/d (8%) to 11.3 million b/d in 2020 because of well curtailment and a drop in drilling activity related to low crude oil prices.
Not entirely sure how that paragraph is worded, but all accounts and articles and from announcements from big oil themselves, they are the ones that aggressively curtailed wells and drilling activity to force the prices to go obscene. So the phrasing was like saying it backward?
And we need government intervention to force oil to pick their production back up NOW not in 2023 when they've bled the US citizens dry and forced the economy to dive bomb again. We can't get new jobs if we can't afford to go to the job. And gas over 4.00 is making us stay home again, this time without a pandemic and it's completely artificial.
100% republikklans voting against laws to stop price gouging sure tells everyone who's in their pockets.
