If the U.S. does not go into deep recession or worse, the stock to own is NVDA. And AAPL. But, being a veteran of 1987 (didn't care--was too young and stupid), 2000-2003, and 2008-09, I can see this market getting a lot lower, with PE of 3, 4 and 5.
And I am not buying the baloney about the causes of the energy prices and the supply-chain problem. There might be a shortage of diesel fuel, so how many truckers are going to be hauling goods from Long Beach, etc. Fewer and fewer. The agriculture industry is in trouble with very high input costs--fertilizer and diesel fuel for farm equipment. A VERY big problem is the CCP's policy of locking down cities instead of vaccinations, or, what would make sense, allowing Omicron to take hold and end the pandemic. Are our portfolios frogs in water that is going to boil?
