I think tmonkey was blindsided even after having been a casualty of Halo.
I expected a dip below IPO price, I didn't expect it to be 70% lower.
Akanda's in startup phase - building this, buying that - spending IPO money as fast as humanly possible as Tej was taught by Halo's spendthrift CEO.
There's little to no revenue coming in, and that may continue throughout most of the year. Not enough to excite investors and justify a rapid recovery by any means.
Halo's loathsome CEO already deceived investors once about Bophello when he released a PR announcing they'd made their first sale of cannabis, without mentioning the weight or dollar amount.
He made it sound like it was a momentous feat and the first of many sales to follow.
Only months later was it discovered the amount was minuscule - something like 2 ounces as I recall, and the dollar amount equally minuscule and laughable.
Except shareholders weren't laughing and there were no more sales. It was all a ruse to pump the stock and shakedown cash cow investors like me.
