#259 RE: isolution #256

Do you know what causes the improvement in sight in response to squalamine? Is it because the "new" blood vessels have just shrunk?

Much of the loss in sight, especially a severe loss, in AMD occurs when the blood vessels start leaking blood under the retina. I admit, I do not know what the mechanism is for removing the blood in this circumstance.

As I recall, it is macrophages in your blood and lymph system that clean up "bruises" in your body that result from broken blood vessels when you fall or whatever. I don't know if they work in the eye or not.

Just some random thoughts.
