American's do not do very well under republican leadership, most American's just want an even playing field, under democratic president's they have a better chance of achieving that.
In my 71 years, I have done much better when a democrat was in the White House, I have had to live under Republican leadership, but it is always filled with problems that they make. They were always right about one thing, that government is the problem, but only when they are running the government.
Most democratic Presidents have put people in leadership roles who actually try to make things better for most Americans. Just like the pandemic, or almost any outside problems that mankind has to deal with.
I have also seen elections take the country in the opposite direction and go from one political party to the other. I know the founding fathers wanted this tug of war to happen, they thought that reasonable people would compromise and do something right for all Americans. Unfortunately we now republicans who will never compromise, and that is the new problem.
