It looks like advfn is reducing or sacrificing the navigational things and esthetics from the webpage format to improve the mobile format. To me it's like whatever we can do to make the mobile better if something is given up with the full page format then so be it.
Also may not have complete control of how a website converts to mobile usage.
I've heard it said that a site could have two totally independent formats depending on how one logs on. That sounds like a lot of waste and work.
I know from my little website, I have to put in code to let mobile devices do their things as well. But this site is light years more complex.
Yeah. Looks like we're losing a lot of usability we had before....but it could be argued that it does look 'prettier' ...lol
Reminds me of Skype.....they kept making it look 'prettier'....but kept losing usability....to the point where we just moved to Telegram ...where usability is King......
