This a great information. My question is why isn’t this information being relayed to current shareholders and being made clearly aware to potential investors / the market? And where is the money from said activities? Crazy. That said, thank you for sharing this with the board KW.
In the video the VP emphasized IGEN having the patent for driver scoring and other companies NOT having it. In my opinion this clearly shows IGEN expects to profit from the patent.
Obviously a first step to that is to get a valuation on it. Once they have that they can look at setting up licensing deals with the companies violating the patent. Having looked around there are venture capital companies that like to buy small companies with patents and then use those to make a profit. Meaning a company with deep pockets that can afford to pursue multiple lawsuits could buy IGEN. Other potential suitor could be a company currently violating the patent that wants to own it. If more than one company in the latter group are interested it could turn into an interesting bidding war.
IGEN/Chan will not talk to investors about these plans and shouldn't. If it happens we will just get a PR about either license agreement(s) or a sale of the company to an investment company unrelated to the vehicle tracking/driver monitoring business.
