No nation in history has built an Empire by doing everything right. Results and consequences are always good and bad. I used to think Chomsky at times exploited the comfort of his ivory tower. He has less what if's which he really has to consider than any president of the USA has. Leave Trump out of that.
In reading that one, and after, i'm feeling he just says it basically as it is. At least how he sees it while being loyal to history. I don't think he hates the United States, though i really do understand how others could feel that.
I love this time of day. Just after 7 and nothing to do but eat, and sleep when the time comes. Threeish to fourish often nowadays is a relatively early start. Sleep by say 10 though gives 5-6 interrupted hours. That's not so bad, eh. Wheeeeeeee. ;-)
