It seems to me that in war, even a new plane is 50% closer to a flying coffin in the first place. No where to go but down. Either by landing wheels safely or in flames.
How many Ukrainian coffins could they save if they could even do 5 sorties before the plane acts up?
Ukrainians are commandeering tanks and cannons with tractors for cripes sake.
