I disagree. The government doesn’t want a currency that isn’t expandable at will!
A currency backed by precious metals is limited as to the amount of metal available. The government doesn’t want that. They want a currency they can expand into infinity!
The digital dollar is coming! It is a currency the government can expand at will, in an unlimited manner. Plus (unlike the current paper currency that is passed around in the shadows), a digital dollar can be TRACKED!
Unless this government ends, WE will NEVER go back to a currency backed by a hard asset like gold.
I think we SHOULD do that, but the government will never allow it.
Eventually, if things get screwed up enough, the people will once again rise up and depose the current government.
Until then - we’re stuck.
