People are independents for many reasons but come election time you either vote for one candidate or the other.
You might not like the candidates, or you could choose not to vote at all.
Not choosing one candidate over the other does not make you endorse that person, it might be a vote against the other person.
But you vote, that is what democracy gives everyone, the right to cast a vote for something.
If you choose not to participate in democracy for what ever reason, that is also your choice.
But just like in Ukraine, you vote for or against, or none at all does nothing in the long run. Especially when a dumb shit like Putin is in charge.
That is why after four years of Trump, America used it power of the vote and threw the dumb shit out of office.
That is the best part of America, we can vote almost anyone in, but it take the entire country to cast a vote to throw him out.
Meanwhile America keeps moving forward. You might not like many aspects of the American life, but then you can change that, you get up each day and make it better.
You might think stating your disgust in a forum does something for you, to me, coming here just reminds me that there are many American's who feel like I do, and know that the war in Ukraine is wrong, that Trump had his four years in office and fucked up.
Now I have President Biden, America is vaccinated and this covid virus still is apart of the American culture, but we are dealing with it. Most Americans have gone back to work and rebuilding their lives. As for the rest of what is happening, you deal with it, that is what you get to do each day, you deal with the life around you.
At 71, it is great, the kids are grown, working great jobs, my grandchildren are progressing, and each day I get as many projects as I can done.
I depend on the government to do one thing, to keep itself together so I never have to deal with what is happening in Ukraine, and if you have to stand up and fight for something, then you fight for it.
