I can't think of a war that hasn't been a long slog and can't see why this will be any different. Time is on our side, the Russian economy can't sustain too much more of this.
As Russia becomes increasingly isolated, the income inequality there, which is already great, will also increase which will make the war in Russia increasingly unpopular.
