Trump 'prepared the ground' throughout 60 days of 'stop the steal' bullshit, guaranfuckingteeing that whatever crowd showed on 1/6 would be primed to respond to Trump's incitement laden speech, and storm the Capitol.

He had to be talked into telling them to go home, after first telling them how much he loved them.

Wait until the 1/6 committee lays it out for you chapter and verse, emails, Tweets and witness testimony.

I agree that the election wasn't "stolen", but that does not negate the fact that Trump did not agree with storming the capitol.

I think you are deluded, not classically stupid.

Here's why--

"I agree that the election wasn't "stolen", but that does not negate the fact that Trump did not agree with storming the capitol."

I would submit that was his only goal that particular day.

First off no Russians were killed when he sent rockets into Syria as he gave Russia advanced warning.

Second his sanctions on Nordstream 2 were only to businesses doing the construction not to Russia. Europe opposed those sanctions and they did nothing.

ForReal, Am curious what are "The major difference here is Trump got concessions
from adversaries, while Biden keeps giving them to adversaries."

the concessions Trump got? You should surely have snuck a link for those comments.. And what are those Biden has given away.

This without doubt is the man you admire.

Did Trump permanently damage American democracy? This question has spawned a veritable cottage industry of hand wringing over the state of American democracy—understandably so. Never before have we had a president who schemed to overturn legitimate election results, who attacked the press and the civil servants who worked for him, who admired dictators, who blatantly profited from his public office and who repeatedly lied to the public for his own selfish purposes. But while Trump’s four years of rhetoric have been a shock to democratic norms, did they inflict permanent damage on our democracy? My answer is a qualified no. The guardrails of democracy held. The institutions designed to check autocracy are intact.
