B402, Scared is a word you like to attribute to the West instead of something more like concern that escalation could lead to a wider war. I think we agreed before that the top military leaders at least are not scared. And i don't believe there is any chance at all that Biden and other leaders are scared of Putin. Your use of fear i feel is overdone, and doesn't reflect the situation as well as talking about a concern for escalation does.
That said, even to say they are afraid of escalating the conflict to other countries' territory doesn't feel as unfair to all those making the decisions as you saying they are governed by fear does.
Your saying others are afraid may even unconsciously have you feeling braver. Maybe.
