Trump would have done nothing at all,,we can all agree on that part

Now I have to take exception to that statement.

With a proven record of confrontation and military retaliation, that seems to be an unqualified statement. To armchair an opinion, without having Trump in place at this moment seems a bit biased.
I have an opposite view, given the facts and opinions that I have presented in posts today.
And I am still not sure as to what Trump would have done. All I know is the appeasement we have witnessed both before and after he was President.

I agree the West could have prepared Ukraine better for this war long ago, but not that they should start a shooting war with Putin now.

When i said yours is the "feel good" position i simply meant takng what feels like the higher moral ground is much easier than to deny yourself the luxury of it.
