This is heavy oil, the worse oil, not meant to be used in today's cars.

What? Oil is "REFINED" to products/distillates used in various forms. No matter what the grade of oil prior to being refined.

And, even if it were refined for uses other than gasoline, it would reduce the amount of light crude used for various other distillates.

And one more thing you might consider. What type of oil does Venezuela produce? You got it friend, heavy sour tar oil. Better to get it from Canada than Venezuela, in my opinion.

You post someone's opinion that he thinks

And what exactly are your opinions based on. Are you an oil expert or passing on an opinion?

They upgrade the oil sand mix so it will flow like an oil to the refinery. The gulf-coast refineries are already set up to process this near bitumen-like substance. They can't reship it, it must be refined.

All of the various fractions end up in the kitty after that. Doesn't matter where the crude came from. It matters what the refinery is set up to process.

You post someone's opinion that he thinks it could be sold, it's an opinion, it means nothing. This is heavy oil, the worse oil, not meant to be used in today's cars.
