The dressing nurse i saw three times after leaving hospital said take the bandages off, Friday four days ago, and apply vaseline. I should have asked her more, like for how long etc. Grr, too many 'should haves' for us rather slow thinkers at the time. LOL Anyway, now there is help in other places, like

1. Day 1-7; antibiotic ointment OR Vaseline multiple times daily; the cut should be protected from drying out at ALL TIMES

And, thinking of scabs forming on little cuts etc, here i was thinking it would be good to have them dry out.

Bottom line, always ask as many questions as you can think of at the time. I botched my last meeting with the dressing nurse.
