Yep, I was never a slot guy. Blackjack (amateur card counter), some poker with pals and I used to know a guy that had a system with the roulette wheel.
He was fascinating but his system entailed knowing the whole wheel and the precise time when the dealer pushed the marble. Old dealers do it the same way every time and he could almost tell you where it was going to fall so he bet 6 spaces on the wheel and did pretty good . Newer croupiers weren't reliable enough to be repetitive like that so he'd walk away until he saw a familiar face.
I didn't want to learn all that, so I just bet whatever he did and there were a couple nights where he really cleaned up. He's unfortunately passed now and I haven't been to a real casino in years, but he was a pro, and I should have learned more from him.
The dog is bummed because I can't walk her right now and the weather here has started to break a little warmer.
I've posted more than once about how I feel about Putin. He's a cornered rat and he's putting his own soldiers in desperate peril for no other reason than his own hubris. It seems like Xi has not gone that far yet but he's got that streak in him too. There's no reason for the world to be this divided in this day and age but all it takes is a few goofballs to light the flames all over again.
