Means that a consensus has been reached by the best science available, and alternative hypotheses do not meet the rigor of the peer review component of the science community.

You never took a science class, ever?

Where did we ever once hear that science is settled about anything?

There might be a consensus of scientists who believe in something, like evolution, but the very nature of science is that it changes as new facts appear.

Science is the opposite of dogma. That's why the church has always had a problem with it, going back to Copernicus. Because science disproves Biblical fairy tales and the only way religion can deal with that is by branding science as heresy.

Dinosaurs on Noah's Ark? The earth 6000 years old? Would you rather believe in that or science? Remember Pluto? Things change.

In your attempt to be witty about climate change, you've only highlighted the evolution of the terms used to describe it, the science hasn't changed.

If we all agree to start calling the Moon, Mr. Cheesehead, it's still the same old Moon with the same known qualities..

I hate to tell you this but you seem to be misinformed about many things that you post opinions on such as Global Cooling - there was one just one magazine article regards global cooling and the writers even said it was a possibility. There is virtually 100% consensus regards man made global warming. Not many peer reviewed articles supporting deniers. What isn't settled is what to do about it and until we (read deniers) accept reality we can't move forward in big ways until they do.
