And the pits apparently are less sensitive to pain, so they are less easily discouraged, too.

That being said, the fact that an English friend of mine, who has two little kids, noted that they're called "nanny dogs", over there, may lead us to believe it's an American affliction to train them to be violent.

You know that there are 6 or 7 breeds of dogs that require you to pay more for homeowners liability insurance? Pit bulls, rotweilers, German shepherds, Doberman's, and a few others.

My favorite amongst the killers, although I don't have one, is the dogo argentino, sweet things who were bred to hunt pumas. They eat pit bulls for snacks.
