Chemists at Pfizer’s research facility in Connecticut dusted off some ideas the company had developed during the SARS outbreak in 2003
They did more than “dust off ideas”. They took a lead compound they already developed for SARS in 2003 and found it worked well against the Covid 19 virus. That was a pretty big leg up vs having to start from scratch.
