I don't work for U.S. News and World Report, so I didn't produce the graphic. That a Senator who has presided over the sorry rankings shown has a disproportionately negative impact on other states, with needs almost as great as those of WV, is a disgrace.

He has earned much of the scorn being directed his way.

Health care, education, economy and infrastructure, bottom 5 rankings. Build Back Better arguably would impact WV more favorably than most states.

Apply your accountant's green eye shades to the Defense spending and the tax structure before clutching your pearls over spending on human infrastructure.

The graphic, from US News and World Report, showed West Virginia scoring poorly in healthcare, education, economy and other categories and 47th overall among the 50 US states. The state tends to score poorly in such rankings.

The one where we add trillions to our deficit every year funding our military or the one where we might or might add a few hundred million over 10 years to actually help the PEOPLE of this country who need it?

The one where there is only one polling place for tens of thousands of voters and a constant purging of the democratic voting rolls or the one where every citizen gets a right to vote and not have to jump through legal hoops and stand on line for 10 hours to cast a ballot?

The one where banning books because it might give white people the sads or expose something to their children that they don't already see on the internet every fucking day? Or the one where they get exposed in a classroom setting with an honest discussion about a book that they've read and maybe learn a little more than what tik tok tells them?

Above the fray? You gotta be fucking kidding me? Are you following at all what happened in the days and months leading up to January 6 2021? You want us to play nice after that? Just bend over and let the GOP steal every human right we have left?

Bill Maher is a comedian. His comments are meant for laughs and sway no ones opinion the same way Bette Midler is. If anything, her comments should stir you up to better yourself and your state instead of defending your 47th ranking. And honestly, her original posts were directed at Manchin and were already forgotten about until your Governor decided to bring it back up. He also picked the wrong battle.

So you go on and keep pearl clutching about tax dollars and the deficit while the millions of kids who got pulled out of poverty during the last stimulus package, slowly slide back in even deeper, less educated than before and watch our country continuously fall deeper down the spiral of wealth inequality and white nationalism.

And yeah, Bill Maher is clever (and funny as hell), and yeah California is silly (and also the fifth largest economy in the world) and I have no idea what Bette Midler said or didn't say about West Virginia, but West Virginia is fucking pathetic. I'm sick of supporting their ignorant, pathetic, redneck, sister-fucking asses. Billionaire coal barons like Justice not withstanding, they are a drain on my wallet, and California is not.... They could hate me all they fucking want. It'd be nice if they'd combine that with not taking my money.

West Virginia is the number 2 per capita importer of my tax dollar, behind only New Mexico. They receive $3.74 from Washington DC for every dollar they pay in taxes. 27.18% of their state budget is money that we pay.

Probably why I don't watch maher. He quoted a whole bunch of stuff the republikklans did and the dems don't want to cancel cops or much of anything else. He quoted right leaning conservative dems as well like it's the whole party.

So, for me maher isn't a good example of balance. He just flips with the times as long as it's profitable. Can't really blame him business wise.

Dems didn't fail impeachments, the republikklans failed impeachment by fighting it with every illegal move in the book.
