I think I might have figured some of it out.
The media narrative is heavy that the Fed is being hawkish. Everywhere I look it’s hawkishness this and tapering that.
We know the Fed did nothing, and so if anything the tone is overly dovish which is pressuring the market because it makes no damn sense to anyone.
But to the general public who doesn’t trade stocks, this narrative that the hawkish Fed is crashing the market could turn into “oh no there’s a recession looming” narrative, because the greatest recovery narrative is quickly falling apart anyways. Then that would open the door for the Fed to continue the ponzi printing but with having backing of the moronic general public who will believe we need the Fed to be accommodating again to help the economy
