And to play devil's advocate, what do you think the people of Afghanistan think of us, Iraq? I pointed out Iran and our meddling there, bet they love us too...The Kurds? Just a few examples..

Hatred? Hot topic for the states, how are we doing with it?

Ok, but do you really think this is fair? You're making my point for me, that Israel is, in fact, being held to a singular standard, not applied to other repressive regimes anywhere else, of which there are many.

It's the higher standard thing I don't get. If they want to be part of our Western values? Again, I'm not defending them, I'm calling out hypocrisy, because what other country has to meet that standard?

When did they ever state that they aspired to our Western values and why should they be responsible to that? We need them to aid in security in the Middle East, helping to maintain the flow of oil, and to spy on our antagonists there.

The U.S. doesn't give Israel aid because we love the Jews so much, it's strictly quid pro quo.
