Probably because he knows a vapor PR saying news is coming later isn't going to attract any new marks, but preaching to the converted might keep some new money coming in from previous vicitms looking to level up.

He wants to hold on to the marks he's already got, who are much more likely to believe the positive spin he puts on the IPIX decade-long disaster:

He was wise to confine the lack of news to those who have become accustomed to it. Why let the broader public know that you have nothing new to offer?

Telling them there is news coming on the blog/email without divulging anything material.

Hopefully this is an encrypted message from Leo that good news is coming and you should load the boat at $0.04.

Or it might be an encrypted message that the secondary data is bad and you should get $0.04 for your shares while you can.

Or it might be an encrypted message that the secondary analysis is complete and sitting on his desk so he can look at it when he gets back from Boca and release the news officially...shortly.

It's anyone's guess. We'll see what comes.
