#398768 RE: Homebrew #398766

Not at all, I didn't explain it well, apparently.

What are the statute of limitations on the crimes committed by various colonial regimes in the past? Why do they speak French in Mali?

Two wrongs certainly don't make a right. But only calling out one of the wrongs is a lopsided interpretation of events.

Is there a BDS about China? You gonna stop buying Chinese manufactured stuff because of the way they treat the Uyguhrs? Assad has killed more Syrians than is imaginable, are we boycotting Syrian figs at the supermarket?

So the issue is one of selective interpretation of the laws. Like the way black people tend to get more jail time than white people for the same crimes.

It was ok for European Christians to plunder the world and it was ok for the Ottomans to occupy half of Europe. I'm not seeing too much in the way of reparations or right of return for African or in parts of the U.S. or Asia.

Although Putin certainly seems to think he has the right of return.

Why don't you give up your house and land to what's left of the tribes that were displaced? Let's just pretend all this other stuff didn't happen, isn't happening, and concentrate on Israel, ok?
