That is not a term used in the securities market. It is an accounting term used by companies regarding the sale rate of a product relative to the inventory level.

The “total share count” is the outstanding shares ISSUED by the company. It is not a “physical inventory” which has zero to do with what we are taking about. Where on earth did that come from?

For instance Home Depot's inventory: lumber, hammers, washing machines, screwdrivers, nails....
