Darpa is still a mystery to me given the results from the primate work at Wake Forest/ Deadwhyler and earlier sleep dep trial. I think the military wants something that will never exist, a replacement for sleep!! for several days or so...( given the stretched military these days one can only venture a guess this is a possibility)- and the results from the failed trial were never really released nor were the trial designs, all was done @ Walter Reed where they probably did something unimaginable, not a political statement just my opinion. In my optimism I failed to mention a Nobel prize to the Cal Irvine group.
