Canada is getting aggressive about lockdowns again in some areas. At this point it’s a 50% reduction in retail store capacity.
I’m keeping a small position, but not making it a large one under the circumstances. If things work out for them though it looks cheaper than BGFV did at 3 bucks.
As a general note lockdowns, much to my surprise, seem to be slowly spreading. Omicron seems to be burning itself out quickly in South Africa so I hope we get 3 weeks of panic followed by a collapse in cases.
For delta the surge process was typically a couple months, but since omicron has spread so much more quickly it’s reasonable to think it will burn out faster too. Cases seem to be falling of quickly in South Africa.
