Blame it on the 80M who are eligible for the vaccine but refuse to get vaccinated because of their loyalty and unwavering allegiance to those who spread misinformation & conspiracy theories while advocating quackery & crack-pot cures. Blame it on those who politicize and resist the efforts to contain the spread of the virus by doubling down on stupidity in the name of "freedom". The latest imbecilic trope comparing Fauci to Dr. Mengele is an insult to anyone with a sense of decency. The stupidest comment I've ever heard uttered by a politician in my lifetime.

I think the time to show Fauci the door has arrived. America has failed containing the disease big time.

Truly astonishing that anyone who understands a bit about science or epidemiology could make that statement. Mask wearing reduces the spread of Covid and vaccines does the same as well as greatly reducing the chances of serious illness or death. It isn't an accident that Republican run states have the highest Covid caseloads. Republican Governors are not only trying to block vaccine mandates by businesses, they are actually blocking mask mandates in businesses and schools. They have a death wish then turn around and blame Biden for their high caseloads.

Here is the Covid case levels states in cases per capita. 24 of the 25 worst states are red states, the exception being Rhode Island.

Part of that horrid performance is due to he actions of the red state Governors. Another big factor Republican reluctance to get vaccinated. By mid September, 72% of adult Americans (18 and over) had been vaccinated. By party, 90% of Democrats were vaccinated compared to only 58% of Republicans. Truly sad.
