-It seems obvious that Molnupiravir is interfering with the immune response whereas the placebo doesn't. It seems disingenuous for MRK to claim it doesn't know precisely how its drug is interfering. i.e. Is it directly interfering with the immune system?; or, do the DNA errors introduced by Moln cause the immune system to respond to something that doesn't exist in the non treated virus? (i.e. provoke an off-target response.)

If it wasn't for BIIB getting approval for a useless tx by this FDA, I would think it's unlikely or impossible to approve MOLN prior to the MOA that weakens immune response is fully explained and the safety fully understood. I just suspect that it's more likely that MRK doesn't want to fully divulge the safety risks than "they have no clue.".
