The provision in the House bill that is most repugnant to drug/biotech companies is the one that prohibits price increases greater than general price inflation in the private health-insurance market. I don’t expect this provision to pass muster with the Senate parliamentarian, and hence I doubt that it will be part of any enacted legislation.
If it were up to me, the function of PBMs in the US drug market would be sharply curtailed or eliminated entirely—see #msg-166794319 for an example of what’s wrong with the current rebate system.
