This approval and a couple of other things over the past couple of years has led me to conclude that the FDA is just another corrupt entity in DC. Maybe I'm naive, but it just wasn't clear to me until fairly recently.
If you ever watch daytime tv during the week, you'll see a steady stream of commercials that have disclaimers at the end describing horrific side effects. And wonder how in the world they ever got approved.
