Good post Sox and true it is...

Hydroponics will change farming forever,,,,which will be good for the planet just like an end to coal and fossil fuels..

You are right about farming, without the gov they can't make it...Its all getting to be corporate farming now, even the Chinese are buying up American land...

Farms have to be so big now to make a buck they can hardly keep up..The margins are thin and every year more and more give up on it..

But the greenhouses and hydroponics is something that can take its place locally, it will need a kick start though...But Rural America is not on the list of priorities...People are painfully aware of that..

Kids have to leave till we find new ways,,,So we are glad to see them go if you know what I mean...Its a shame in a sense, rural Americans are close knit family wise...Its not like many urban families where family get spread all over and seldom see each other except for holidays, facetime is no substitute for going to Grandmas after school or for Sunday dinner every week.....A family together has a way of keeping everyone in check....

More solutions are needed,,,But people are actually coming out here in droves since the pandemic, grass feed cattle is getting big here, but the 'barons' want and can afford it all..Working online may help too..We shall see..

City life can be pretty cool, but if I can have my druthers, I like to die sitting by the river..On the week days you can still feel like you are the only ones on the planet...Im very thankful these boys are getting to experience it...

Like all the family, our best childhood memories are right here in this little valley going on 4 generations now, swimming, floating, fishing, the children running, playing and laughing without a care in the world...No matter where they all end up, they come back every chance they get..The 3 summer holidays are always a busy time...

Hope you had a good day...
