The first rainfall of the wet season on Australia’s Christmas Island has begun, which means one thing is certain: Millions of bright red crabs are on the move once again to mate and spawn — shutting down roads and “turning up everywhere,” in the words of a local conservation agency.
Love that Colbert. This one more a nod to one special American trait: The love of celebrity. I mean to love them you have to create and nurture them, eh. And they have to donate their energies too. It really is an American phenomenon.
Not as unique as it used to be as it's just another commercial trait which has spread to Australia. Like the uh, duh, present anti-common sense freedumb covid run.
