This is flawed b/c you believe MDT either doesn't want to have a SP robot in their portfolio or they believe they can create their own from scratch without infringing on the patents TMDI and other companies current have. Forget about the $$$ and timing to undergo that endeavor. The current version of HUGO most likely has no TMDI IP in it.
Only thing that matters at this point in time, and it didn't change after the delay announcement, is what happens to the MDT/TMDI partnership at the completion of milestone 4.
If MC cared about shareholders he would step up and let MDT know it's time to either BO TMDI or take an equity stake in TMDI. There should be no other option presented. It's time to end this. They have been living together long enough, it's time to make a serious commitment or end the relationship. There are other plays that would make a great suitor.
I'm not optimistic on TMDI near term and do not believe MC will deliver for shareholders in next phase.
