It was a mistake for the Dems to presume that the country had shifted as far to the left as they are proposing in these spending bills.
It did not help that the Dems seemingly are unconcerned about the border, when voters are concerned.
Now the Dems are impugning two Senators for basically standing up for what their particular states want them to do. The profiles in courage you speak about would be a few more moderate Dem Senators to stand up and join Manchin and Sinema in representing their constituents.
The VA and NJ results clearly show that the Dems are not listening to them.
