It is an individual's personal medical choice.
No, not at all. It's a global pandemic and that 'choice' is selfish and doesn't include everyone around you because you don't live in a bubble by yourself.
Do you realize, if everyone had done the vaccine over 90%, we would have literally stopped the virus in it's tracks and reduced it to the flu level of danger. True, people can still die of the flu, but due to the flu virus reduced to a weak virus because of no more dangerous variants, we DO have a choice to take a flu shot or not. THAT'S were we would be with covid if people didn't have such a selfish misconception of their 'rights'. You aren't looking at it as a personal thing, IMO you're really admitting it's a political rights thing.
We're not talking about making you wear a motorcycle helmet, quitting smoking or drinking as these things ARE a personal choice whereas drinking and driving can kill someone, including yourself, but does not exponentially threaten your whole neighborhood or workplace.
I don't care if you drink and drive, you're somewhere else. I don't care if you don't wear your helmet because that's your 'right', go ahead kill yourself that way. But walking around infected by a deadly virus, and it is deadly is taking away everyone else's right to stay healthy. And if you believe the virus isn't deadly, that may be one of the reasons you or people think they have a right to refuse protecting themselves and the rest of the country.
It is not a persons personal right to intentionally or unintentionally infect another human being.
When was the last time you went into a closed room for at least an hour with many maskless people you did not know and no way of knowing who's vaccinated. When you go into that environment, think about your rights then. And please, don't come back with some nonsense you go into closed rooms with tons of people and not worry about it at all. Because that totally makes you claiming being vaccinated sound real questionable.
stay safe.
