I have lived in Tennessee for 21 years, before lung cancer struck me down, my last position of 20 years, had me supervising a 150,000 sq. foot warehouse. Many on my staff were conservative, my immediate boss is a true southern conservative. But we have always been friends. I usually get the call from him, and in this pass year it has happened four times. We could not even attend a funeral, my wife has gone to a couple, but with her position she had to make an appearance.
I live in Hamilton County, lots of unvaccinated conservatives, lots of death all around me, it's not like it is not happening everyday. I know some on this forum would like to change the subject from covid-19 deaths. But when the deaths are happening everyday, and they are all around you it's hard not to think about it. Especially when I get a call. They all know my thoughts, I was one of the first to get vaccinated, they watched me get the jab. It's like voting down here. I have to drive almost 20 miles away just to vote, show my two ID's and stand in line for three hours. It use to be 1 mile away, with my driver's license and sign my name on the voter roll. But a funny thing happened, in 21 years my signature is not quite the same, even thou that women still knows me, and everyone in that precinct knows me. I vote democratic they know it, they make you declare when you walk in to that voting place. Like I say this is the conservative south, it's different.
