We all know that charges don’t mean squat!

I’m sure that you meant charged and convicted.

Without convictions, The US will remain polarized as it is now, and IMO, get worse.

Without convictions, we will set a precedent that it’s OK to commit such egregious crimes as long as you are privileged enough to be beyond reproach.
