Because you're an atheist you SHOULD be more in touch with that theocratic bent within the GOP.

Trust me, I am. But just as I explained about those who disagree, I can disagree with the religious without attacking them. In fact, religion has helped folks get through bad troubles. I applaud that. My parents, who lived to old age and suffered, are great examples of this. If religion floats your goat, go for it! That's my approach.

I'm just trying to reset the discussion environment away from the personal attacks and toward arguing the issues.

Perhaps that is a bridge too far.
