You said 80% of all options expire worthless. Don't know if it's true but I'll admit it sounds like terrible odds. Doesn't that have something to do with options players themselves though. Buying low priced out of the money options in hopes of hitting it big, are more likely to expire worthless.
Not arguing for or against options, just arguing that 80% of options expiring worthless is not a good argument against playing options.
