I have seen many corporation market cap = the gross revenue potential based on OS shares x price of the stock and it changes daily. That said, market cap is a quick snapshot I use only as reference only to evaluate where the price is today relative to MC, next steps could use EV described below to refine the analysis, but there are many many other methods. Is .53 high? Yes, is .0037 too low, Yes IMO, soon the market will tell us what it believes!
RE: Specifically, enterprise value is calculated by taking the company’s market capitalization, adding its total debts, and subtracting its cash. Many investors use enterprise value as a rough estimate of the cost of acquiring the company and taking it private. It is also used in valuation ratios such as the enterprise multiple.
