This, my Aussie friend, put you in the crazy category.
"And just because you live in Atlanta it sure as hell doesn't mean you
know more about the place than the CNN people who did the research."
Atlanta's crime wave is directly attributed to the BLM protests and Defund the Police pressure. The Mayor ahs not supported the police at every turn. Fired two officers with no due process--because she was playing to the mob.
The Atlanta Police Department are understaffed because no one wants to work at the APD given the lack of support by the mayor's office and the prosecutor's office.
A friend of mine lives two miles away from a major shopping mall- Lenox Square--that used to be very safe to visit. There was a shootout in the afternoon between two thieves and a victim. She will not shop there any more.
Two weeks ago, two teens were in someone's car in the middle of the afternoon. The car owner tried to stop them, they pulled a gun--the car owner had a carry permitted handgun and killed one and wounded the other.
Buckhead is where Lenox Square is. This move to break off from the city is not due to race (unless you think it is racist to support the police and aggressively prosecute suspects). It is due to two decades of frustration to see the city degrade.
So--spare me your uninformed drivel, fuagf. CNN's article is biased from the get go. No mention about the crime wave. All the violence. No mention.
Read it again.
It is all about race and BS theories about the past.
