#24252 RE: arconway #24234

Yes, I agree. It says that exactly. The E. Texas is separate... this one is new to the mix.

I am of the unproven opinion at this moment that the thing that happened here is what I speculated before: that as a dealmaker, Lancaster pushed forward the entire stalled deal by saying, in essence: "Look, we both agree these Louisiana heavy oil properties.... there is no more negotiation needed on them. So, lets go ahead and get that part of the deal done by splitting it out as a separate deal and pushing it on down the road." So, the seller says something like" OK, your're right. We do in fact have no issues as regards that field and so, splitting it out into an entirely separate LOI is fine with us".

Now, if I'm wrong in my "guess", then its not a mess either because, supposing the deal for the heavy oil is with a separate and different seller, then it could work to put pressure on the E. Texas seller to stop dragging his feet. So, if it is a different seller, it could be Lancaster conveying a wake-up call, in essence, that conveys to the foot-dragger "Hey, man, we are going to build us a mid-size oil company one way or the other. So, quit balling up the works with all your game playing and realize that we have backers with deep pockets who are committed one way or another to making purchases and, if you want to play ball, then cut out the games. We have other avenues and we don't have to deal with you. So, take a look at this PR and make up your mind. Play ball or don't. either way, we ain't gonna wait forever for you to come thru on what both of us know is a darn square deal for you and the rest of your family. So, make up your mind. We're moving on without you if you hold this up much longer."

So, as I see it, whether it is the same seller or another, it does not detract from BIGN's overall prospects.

IMHO, the recent sellers jumped ship to their eventual regret. Bad timing for them, IMHO.... poor judgement. But, as you say frat, we'll soon see if they were right to bail out or not.
